A Giant is a massive boss mob unused in Minecraft but used in the Shotbow game, MineZ, and was a frequent goal in fan hardcores before many moved on to dungeons.

How to Slay a Giant

It can be slain using a sword. Keep repeatedly hitting him and avoid his attacks. Eventually he will die and drop really useful items like a Diamond Sword.
