Cody's HC

Mortal Trial is a fan hardcore hosted and edited by Cody with a movie-like structure a narrator character commenting on the events of these simulations, which are the seasons you see here. Raven, Tricky, and Person are the mains while also providing background assistance like art and testing.

Trivia

• This series is the debut of both Raven and Person, even though they've appeared in other scrapped HCs before.
• Mortal Trial's namesake is an obvious reference to Mortal Kombat but the original name of the series was Triumph or Die, which would have been a reference to Street Fighter instead.
• Mortal Trial is the first hardcore to have filmed scenes with a person during the hardcore itself.
  • The character is known as Ceath and is portrayed as the "main character in control"
  • He's also played by Cody, the host and editor of the series
• In the teaser it shows footage from HC Ultima, a hardcore that was recorded months before Mortal Trial but was cancelled for various reasons.
  • The intro can be found here, some editing concepts and cast members would return in Mortal Trial.
  • The teaser portrays HC Ultima as a "failed simulation", a slight jab at the season for being a failed project.
