Minecraft Kill Issue 0: A Nether Nightmare is a mini-season hosted and edited by Lightning. It was submitted as an entry for the 2023 Hardcore Jam.

The cast consists of Lightning, JackP, Squiddy, Panda, Koko, Fletch, Nyeck, Creeper, Khana, Laozi and Juanfan, with JackP and Laozi doing the portraits.

This mini-season, each player is given a different role and spawned inside the Nether. Their goal is to complete their win condition, and then defeat the Wither.

Roles & Win Conditions[edit | edit source]

  • Assassin: Ensure the death of the specified player. You do not need to kill them personally.
  • Bodyguard: Ensure that your specified target stays alive. If they die, you die with them.
  • Sniper: Kill a player using a bow and arrow. You must deal the final hit of damage.
  • Serial Killer: Ensure the deaths of all other players. This role does not have to complete the main goal.
  • Pyromaniac: Kill a player using fire or lava. (Knocking a player into lava does count.)
  • Poacher: Ensure the death of the player with the specified role. You do not need to kill them personally.
  • Public Executioner: Kill a player while in hearing range of at least three other players.
  • Vigilante: Kill a player who's already gotten a player kill.
  • Fortress Guard: Kill a player while inside the Nether Fortress.
  • Bystander: Live to see the main goal completed. (As the game starts, this is already marked as complete.)
  • Pirate Captain: You can give a piece of paper to someone. Your win condition is now shared with them.
