* Luke Kowalski had actually been recording during the final battle with the Bandits, but the footage was lost. Kystonio was the only other person recording it, but he died before Funky and Luke. This is why the final moments of the final battle only have audio, not footage (Kystonio was sitting in the lobby as they finished up).

ANIME POLICE: MineZ HC #1 was the very first Hardcore season of the series Anime Police. The goal of the series was to slay the Giant of the Floating Isles. The four Anime Police regulars appeared in this season: Luke Kowalski (w/ a Vector skin), leader of the Anime Police Force; DarthAurora (w/ a Soldier: 76 skin), Anime Recon Shooter; Funky Sauce (w/ Funky Kong skin), "Second-in-Command" and Secretary of Anti-Anime Propaganda (though these roles of his weren't' referred to in this season), and Kystonio (w/ Ruby Rose skin), Undercover Anime Man.

Background

ANIME POLICE: MineZ HC #1 was recorded on March 3, 2018. Luke Kowalski had organized it as a casual recording session of MineZ using the "meme" Anime Police motiff that would be released on DarthAurora's channel; however, it was decided mid-recording that it would be treated as a Hardcore. This sudden swap of direction is especially evident in the first two episodes especially, where there is open discussion about whether or not the session should be treated as a Hardcore. Due to the casual context that the session was initially organized in, the recording format was fairly simple (with only four people present and only one footage perspective to deal with, minus the small bit in the finale); Darth was able to edit the series up very quickly, with the first episode being released only three days after the recording session.
